Beyond Kids' Stuff: What Writers Can Learn from Children's Literature

  • The Refinery @ Senior Citizens, Inc 3025 Bull Street Savannah, GA, 31405 United States (map)

We writers can get stuck in ruts. Whether it's overusing certain words, phrases, or patterns, or being reluctant to tackle difficult subjects, or feeling uninspired, we often encounter (or construct) obstacles for ourselves and our writing. Sometimes it helps to revisit children's literature to see with new eyes, ask ourselves what matters, and simply unlock our creative juices. This is not a workshop solely for writers of children's literature but for the kid in all of us.

10 A.M. - 1 P.M., SATURDAY-SUNDAY, SEPT. 8-9, 2018
